Zip-lining at Camp Fortune
Looking for a unique way to experience the beautiful autumnal colours? Try zip-lining at Camp Fortune, a recreational resort and aerial park located in Gatineau Park! High up in the trees, you’ll gain a breathtaking new perspective of fall!
Oktoberfest Ottawa
It’s that time of year again! The Oktoberfest Bavarian Bier Festival is a celebration of food, beer, music and fun! The 10th annual event is held at Clarke Fields Park in Barrhaven and offers entertainment for the entire family. The festival will run from Thursday, September 27th to Sunday, September 30th in the 15,000 square feet Myers Volkswagen Auto Haus.
Mosaïculture Gatineau 2018
For the second year running, experience this fabulous horticultural event, held in Gatineau’s Jacques Cartier Park. Showcasing 5.5 million plants of 210 species and varieties, you’ll be amazed at the artistry of the majestic floral masterpieces. The event is open until Monday, October 15th.
Hiking in Gatineau Park
This year, Gatineau Park’s stunning Fall Rhapsody event takes place from Saturday, September 29th to Sunday, October 21st. Just a 20 minute drive from downtown Ottawa, Gatineau Park has hundreds of kilometres to explore by car, bike, or on foot. Enjoy all the colours of the fall foliage and don’t forget to take your camera! During the Fall Rhapsody event, there are free bus shuttles departing from Ottawa’s Byward Market and Gatineau’s Camp Fortune.
Pumpkinferno
This award-winning event, showcasing over 7000 expertly carved pumpkins, returns for another year! Pumpkinferno is held in Upper Canada Village, located in Morrisburg, Ontario, just over an hour’s drive from Ottawa, and runs from Friday, September 28th to Sunday, October 28th. Make sure to check available dates on the website.
Saunders Farm
Enjoy family fun making wonderful memories at Saunders Farm! September 22nd to October 31st is Haunting Season: celebrate Halloween by exploring the largest collection of full-sized hedge mazes in North America, take hayrides, play on the play structures, eat farm fresh food, and enjoy live shows.
